Job Overview

The Program Manager is charged with designing, organizing, and executing top-quality training programs for youth athletes and teams within specific facilities and surrounding areas. This role involves curriculum development, preparing instructors for program delivery, overseeing program execution on the turf, and collaborating with the EL1 FAST team to enhance the experience aligned with our baseball and softball mission and culture.

Core Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operations lead, managing daily facility functions including sales, marketing, and staff supervision.
• Build and nurture a strong internal culture where staff feel valued and purposeful, and externally ensure customers are welcomed with exceptional service.
• Utilize your network to recruit, train, develop, and retain a team of expert instructors.
• Ensure all instructors meet our high standards and develop professionally in line with EL1’s mission and values.
• Oversee facility programming and staff schedules, managing payroll budgets and maintaining appropriate instructor-to-player ratios using scheduling software.
• Coordinate apparel, uniform, and equipment needs with Procurement while adhering to budget limits.
• Lead on-field training sessions and performance development for athletes.
• Design and launch program curricula and new training programs for facilities, mobile platforms, leagues, and Powered By initiatives.
• Act as a key liaison partnering with Powered By Directors and coaches for player development program implementation.
• Collaborate with internal departments such as Marketing and Finance to expand program reach.
• Manage the facility’s financial performance, including revenue growth, cost control, budgeting, and ensuring profitability.
• Function as a brand ambassador upholding company values and policies with integrity and excellence.
• Adapt to additional roles and tasks as needed to fulfill company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in program management or overseeing trainers/instructors.
• Demonstrable collegiate or professional playing and/or coaching background.
• Recent or current experience as an instructor is preferred.
• Experience working with youth and high school athletes in instructional programs preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of baseball/softball sports.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, is desirable.

Working Conditions and Travel

• The role requires extended periods of standing and walking within various facility environments.
• Work locations encompass outdoor fields, sports facilities, parks, remote areas, and office settings.
• Frequent local travel is expected, with occasional overnight trips.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually.
