Job description

Position Overview

This role is based at the Department of Health and Human Services, specifically within the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The recruitment will close upon receiving 50 applications or on the specified closing date, whichever occurs first.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and analyze program resources including budgets, spend plans, and funding strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with various federal appropriations such as no-year or multi-year funds, as well as fiscal and financial management standards.
  • Advise leadership on resource distribution, operational needs, organizational effectiveness, and strategic planning for healthcare programs.
  • Produce analytical reports, dashboards, performance metrics, interagency agreements, and other essential management documentation to assist decision-making and achieve mission objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • At least one year of specialized experience comparable to the GS-12 federal grade performing all responsibilities related to program and resource management in healthcare.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage federal program budgets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Experience providing strategic advisory services and supporting program operations through analytical documentation.
  • Applicants must clearly document employment dates with start/end month and year and indicate weekly hours worked if part-time.
  • Submission of supporting documents (supervisor memos, SF-50/SF-52) is necessary if experience is outside the official grade or series.
  • Both paid and qualifying unpaid/volunteer service experience will be credited when properly documented.
