About the Role
A prominent global medical device company is expanding its Supply Chain division and seeks to recruit a Production Planning Specialist to enhance its manufacturing operations in Singapore. This position provides extensive involvement in production planning, inventory control, demand forecasting, and manufacturing process execution within a collaborative and quality-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules for both finished products and sub-assemblies.
- Evaluate demand forecasts to optimize inventory availability.
- Leverage ERP/MRP systems to facilitate manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Warehouse departments to guarantee prompt product availability.
- Assess and refine planning parameters to improve accuracy.
- Track operational KPIs, including inventory performance, customer service metrics, and backorder status.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects and initiatives promoting operational excellence.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in production planning, supply chain management, or manufacturing planning roles.
- Proficiency with Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP/MRP software platforms.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning capabilities.
- Previous exposure to manufacturing environments.
- Effective communication skills to liaise across various business units.
