Role Summary

We are seeking a Product Designer passionate about tackling some of the most complex operational challenges within healthcare. In close partnership with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and health system clients, you will develop intuitive AI-powered experiences replacing fragmented and manual workflows. This role entails ownership across the product experience lifecycle, involving research-driven opportunity identification, designing scalable enterprise workflows, and introducing how AI-native software should feel.

As the second designer on our team, your key responsibility will be to create outstanding product experiences while also contributing broadly to company efforts where your design expertise can have the greatest impact. This position offers a unique chance to influence not only product design but also the overall contribution of design to our scaling company.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive product design processes from customer research, problem framing, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, to launch and ongoing iteration.
• Gain an in-depth understanding of customer workflows, challenges, and needs by engaging directly with health system partners and continuously integrating feedback.
• Translate complex financial data and AI insights into clear, elegant user experiences and workflow designs that accommodate diverse enterprise users and scale effectively.
• Develop and maintain Midstream's design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across products while accelerating rapid development.
• Design AI-native enterprise experiences that foster trust, clearly communicate AI outputs, and balance automation with human decisions.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives beyond product design when your expertise can expedite company progress, such as supporting product launches or customer experience improvements.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7 years of experience designing digital products, preferably in enterprise SaaS or workflow-heavy applications.
• Proven track record of managing end-to-end product design processes, including user research and iterative improvements.
• A strong portfolio showcasing skill in UX design, interaction design, and visual design for complex enterprise software.
• Expertise in simplifying data-intensive workflows and accommodating multiple user roles.
• Experience conducting customer research and translating findings into actionable product improvements.
• Proficiency with Figma and contemporary design and prototyping tools.
• Ability to collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout development phases.
• Effective communicator able to convey design decisions clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Keen interest in AI-enhanced products and building the next wave of enterprise software.
• Exposure to high-growth startups and environments demanding adaptability and cross-disciplinary teamwork is advantageous.
