Role Overview
Egatee Online Nigeria is seeking a Procurement Officer to support sourcing and purchasing activities for its Abuja operations. This position is geared toward a professional with solid experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), especially in managing suppliers, controlling costs, and ensuring timely supply.

Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria
Compensation
The role offers a monthly salary in the range of ₦200,000 to ₦250,000.
Employment Type
This is a full-time, on-site position.
Key Responsibilities
- Source FMCG products, packaging, and related materials while balancing cost and quality.
- Prepare purchase orders, monitor delivery progress, and coordinate with suppliers to keep schedules on track.
- Handle vendor negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, and contractual arrangements.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with FMCG suppliers and distributors.
- Assess vendor performance based on pricing, product quality, and delivery reliability.
- Bring new suppliers into the vendor base and confirm they meet company standards and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with warehouse and store teams to anticipate demand and reduce the risk of stock shortages or excess inventory.
- Follow internal purchasing policies and procurement procedures in all activities.
- Keep complete and accurate records of purchases, quotations, and vendor-related documentation.
- Track FMCG market pricing and trends and recommend practical cost-saving measures that do not affect quality.
- Prepare procurement reports for management on a regular basis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of procurement experience in an FMCG company.
- Established vendor network in Abuja is required.
- Strong ability to negotiate, analyze situations, and maintain accuracy in work.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel.
- Prior exposure to procurement software or ERP systems will be considered an advantage.
- Self-driven, well organized, and able to perform under tight deadlines.
