Department Overview

Our Supply Chain and Procurement team operates in a fast-moving environment, delivering top-tier communication equipment and solutions globally. We aim to be trusted advisors for our business partners by offering innovative procurement solutions that maximize sourcing value.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop and implement transformative, innovative sourcing strategies specifically focused on systems integration services.
• Conduct thorough market research to evaluate supplier trends, capabilities, and identify potential suppliers proactively.
• Lead competitive bidding processes and negotiations, establishing robust Statements of Work and performance-based contracts to optimize total ownership costs.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives using negotiation, value engineering, process enhancement, demand management, and alternative sourcing approaches.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, enforcing vendor performance management aligned to organizational goals.
• Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, including project delays, dependency on single sources, supplier financial health, and regulatory compliance.
• Work closely with internal teams such as sales, engineering, project and product management, and legal to align procurement plans with business requirements.
• Oversee contract lifecycle management from drafting through negotiation, execution, and compliance monitoring.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, ethical standards, and relevant legal regulations in all procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate procurement reporting and analytics to monitor performance, discover improvement opportunities, and guide decisions.
• Continuously seek and apply process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency.

Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a similar discipline.
• At least two years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, and category management; telecom industry experience is advantageous.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing end-to-end services for large technology deployments, including managing third-party systems integration and full lifecycle field services.
• Track record of achieving considerable cost reductions through strategic sourcing and negotiation efforts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex procurement challenges.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
• Familiarity with contract law and best procurement practices.
• Proficiency in ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle and e-sourcing tools.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Skilled at cultivating and sustaining productive relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

• This is an experienced, full-time role based onsite in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
