Procurement & Contracts Manager

About the Role

Ion Exchange Arabia is seeking an experienced and commercially-oriented Procurement and Contracts Manager to oversee the full procurement lifecycle for water and wastewater treatment-related products, spares, services, and chemicals. This role is based in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and requires strong capabilities in supplier development, negotiation, and supply chain coordination within the KSA market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, and qualify suppliers for relevant products and services in the water and wastewater sector.
• Develop alternative sourcing strategies to minimize reliance on single suppliers and enhance bargaining power.
• Lead price discussions and negotiate terms including payment schedules, warranties, and delivery commitments.
• Issue purchase orders adhering to budget approvals and maintain an organized register to monitor their progress.
• Collaborate with finance to synchronize supplier payments with project cash flow and customer collections; verify tax invoices and resolve any account discrepancies.
• Coordinate logistics for dispatching materials from suppliers to company or customer sites, oversee shipment tracking, and address delivery issues ensuring all documentation is complete.
• Ensure all purchase orders and contracts comply with company policies, customer contracts, and KSA regulations; maintain standardized contract templates to limit exposure.
• Support internal and external audit processes through maintaining accessible procurement records.

Qualifications & Experience

• Possess a bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain management, business administration, or a relevant discipline.
• Demonstrate 3 to 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
• Familiarity with the supplier ecosystem in Saudi Arabia along with import and logistics procedures.
• Strong competence in negotiation, documentation, and procurement system applications.
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic languages.
