Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a secure, welcoming preschool environment promoting learning and play.
- Foster open, supportive relationships with parents, staff, and children, including hosting individual meetings to acknowledge each child's development.
- Oversee and mentor a team of 20–40 educators, supporting their professional growth and maintaining high-quality educational standards.
- Manage financial aspects to ensure program quality and community engagement.
- Organize marketing initiatives and community outreach to enhance the school's visibility and reputation.
- Ensure strict adherence to all licensing, safety, sanitation, federal, and state regulations.
- Handle recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to help staff meet their goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous success as an Assistant Director in a large educational setting.
- Between 3 to 5 years of practical teaching experience.
- Compliance with state licensing, including passing criminal background checks and fingerprinting.
- Educational background consistent with one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree with at least six months’ experience in group childcare.
- Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education.
- Associate degree or equivalent, plus one year in supervisory role and two years in group childcare.
- Comprehensive understanding of national and state education standards, licensing protocols, fire and health safety, as well as OSHA regulations.
- Knowledge of USDA Nutritional Standards applicable to schools.
- Must be at least 21 years old and meet corporate driving criteria.
