Power Generation Supervisor

Overview

The Power Generation Supervisor leads maintenance, repair, installation, and operation of electrical power generation systems, water distribution networks, aircraft arresting mechanisms, low and high voltage electrical distribution schemes, and various lighting and electrical systems. This role ensures adherence to Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Amentum's ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS) standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducts CSC inspections on containers as necessary.
• Performs quality checks before, during, and after maintenance interventions.
• Completes and verifies maintenance documentation and quality records.
• Allocates tasks to team members and oversees their execution.
• Delivers technical support, training, and on-the-job instruction, maintaining associated records.
• Supervises operations related to electrical generating equipment, water systems, flood lighting, air compressors, aircraft arresting systems, and related electrical equipment within the GPMS program.
• Interprets complex electrical schematics, blueprints, and fault data to diagnose issues.
• Utilizes testing instruments, load banks, and diagnostic tools to maintain and repair equipment.
• Prepares equipment for air, sea, or road transport according to technical orders and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintains all necessary documentation including DoD, USAF, Amentum, and supply/maintenance forms, updating historical records accordingly.
• Operates material handling equipment as needed.
• Monitors and coordinates the proper disposal of hazardous materials within the work center.
• Supports additional departments and projects as assigned, performing both skilled and unskilled tasks.
• Engages in temporary duty assignments domestically or internationally as required.
• Adheres strictly to safety, hazardous material, and quality standards prescribed by Amentum and USAF.
• Ensures issued tools, personal protective equipment, and uniforms are maintained safely and reports any deficiencies.
• Supervises the setup, construction, and operations related to GPMS power generation for exercises and contingencies.
• Works primarily in office, workshop, or warehouse environments with potential outdoor work for extended periods.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Proficiency with personal computers, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Experience or knowledge in military or civilian maintenance systems, quality assurance, and supervisory methods.
• Capability to plan workloads and directly supervise personnel.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and related technical data for various electrical and power generation systems.
• Must obtain CSC Certification.
• Valid driver's license from home country and ability to acquire host nation license.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years of military or civilian experience in power generation operation and maintenance.
• Must secure and maintain required facility credentials/authorizations; US citizenship is mandatory for facility access at this location.
• Preparedness to work in high noise environments and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with high voltage power generation equipment (5000 volts or above) is advantageous.
• At least two years in a supervisory role is preferred.
