Role Overview
The Portfolio Lifecycle Specialist will oversee the commercial lifecycle of products, handling portfolio governance and coordination from product introduction to phase-out across international markets, emphasizing efficient and profitable portfolio management. This role is distinct from traditional product management, focusing on commercial and lifecycle coordination rather than product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage new product introduction processes effectively.
- Continuously evaluate portfolio performance throughout the lifecycle.
- Assist in initiatives aimed at product rationalization.
- Conduct analyses on portfolio profitability and turnover rates.
- Detect and address underperforming or outdated products.
- Lead activities related to product discontinuation.
- Maintain comprehensive portfolio and product documentation.
- Support pricing, procurement, and commercial teams during product launches.
- Monitor supplier-related changes impacting existing products.
- Coordinate updates to both technical and commercial documentation.
- Prepare detailed reports on portfolio performance.
- Analyze SKU complexity and propose optimization strategies.
- Contribute to annual portfolio review processes.
- Ensure alignment and consistency among ERP, CRM, and commercial documentation.
- Advocate for enhancements in portfolio structure and product assortment.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, Economics, or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in Product Portfolio Management, Commercial Operations, Product Administration, or Business Analysis.
- Strong analytical aptitude.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Robust organizational skills.
Preferred Background
- Experience in international trading environments.
- Familiarity with food ingredients, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, specialty chemicals, or B2B distribution sectors.
- Knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Dynamics is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits
Monthly salary ranges from QAR 18,500 to 25,500, based on qualifications and experience.
