Planning Engineer

About the Role

A prominent company specializing in complex engineering and infrastructure developments across the region seeks a Planning Engineer. This position involves creating and managing project timelines to ensure efficient delivery within set deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulating comprehensive project schedules and work plans.
• Tracking project progress relative to the established baselines.
• Performing schedule performance assessments and pinpointing potential risks.
• Generating weekly and monthly reports on project advancements.
• Collaborating with project managers and on-site teams to align planning efforts.
• Revising schedules to reflect actual progress changes.
• Carrying out critical path and delay evaluations.
• Assisting in resource allocation planning and predicting workload demands.
• Helping devise recovery strategies when necessary.
• Managing the documentation and reporting systems related to project planning.
• Ensuring adherence to planning standards and contractual terms.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in project planning roles.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software.
• Prior experience in engineering or construction project environments.
• Strong analytical capabilities and experience in preparing detailed reports.
• Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Required fluency in English.
