Role Overview
This Performance Analyst position is embedded in the Elections Digital team within MHCLG. The role supports enhancing and expanding digital electoral services such as voter registration, proxy and postal voting applications, photo ID issuance for voting, and tools for local electoral administration teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead performance measurement and analysis within assigned projects, supporting product teams in defining success criteria and metrics.
- Contribute to project planning and delivery while promoting data sharing and analytics integration across product lifecycles.
- Adapt analytic techniques for diverse contexts, often serving as the sole performance analyst representative on projects.
- Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, acting as a subject matter expert on documentation and compliance.
- Ensure accuracy, quality, and reliability of data and analyses, implementing appropriate quality assurance measures.
- Participate actively in the wider performance analysis community to share knowledge and enhance practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in visualizing data effectively to communicate influential and actionable insights aligned with business objectives.
- Experience in creating performance frameworks including KPIs and supporting strategic planning across various product delivery stages.
- Expertise in developing and managing governance frameworks, challenging existing methods, and ensuring compliance and transparency.
- Strong user-centric approach, able to identify and prioritize user needs with evidence, collaborating well with multidisciplinary teams focused on user experience.
- Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies relevant to analytics, ensuring data integrity and fitness for purpose.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this role is £44,004 annually plus a pension contribution of £12,747 through the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme. MHCLG also offers various benefits such as career development pathways, flexible working, childcare vouchers, and cycle-to-work schemes.
