About the Role

This position is primarily remote for candidates residing within the UK, with an expectation to visit the Reading office once or twice monthly, including for your initial orientation day.
Daily Responsibilities
- Maintain and foster strong relationships with a portfolio of bureau clients, ensuring they appreciate the benefits of our offerings and expertise.
- Oversee all PAYE-related aspects for clients such as managing statutory sick, maternity, and paternity pay; pension deductions; attachment of earnings orders; onboarding and offboarding employees; and conducting PAYE year-end procedures including preparation of forms like P60s and P11Ds.
- Administer pension schemes and ideally hold some knowledge of public sector pensions (e.g. for teachers or NHS staff).
- Provide clients with updates and advice on current HMRC legislative changes.
- Respond to queries raised by employees and HMRC, liaising smoothly across various client contacts.
- Enhance and streamline internal payroll processes and workflows for efficiency.
- Collaborate with the implementation team to support new client onboarding and conduct parallel payroll runs.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience working with payroll software and relevant technologies to manage payroll operations.
- Solid understanding of payroll processes including pensions, benefits administration, and RTI compliance.
- High respect for confidentiality and sensitive information.
- Strong logical reasoning and attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Competent IT skills to use payroll and bureau systems efficiently.
