About the Opportunity

We are a rapidly expanding fintech and payroll services company serving North America, specializing in compliant, automated, and real-time payroll, tax, and HR solutions tailored for mid-market and enterprise businesses. Our fully remote team is dedicated to developing and maintaining payroll systems that guarantee accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to regulations, enabling our clients to concentrate on growing their operations while we manage payroll complexities behind the scenes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process, reconcile, and audit payroll across various Canadian regions for bi-weekly and monthly payroll periods.
  • Oversee employee deductions, garnishments, statutory withholdings, and year-end T4/T4A reporting, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial laws.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll discrepancies, respond to employee payroll queries, and implement necessary corrections while maintaining audit documentation.
  • Manage payroll system configurations, including platforms such as ADP, Ceridian, and Workday; control user access; and integrate with timekeeping and benefits systems.
  • Prepare and submit statutory remittances to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Employment Insurance (EI), Canada Pension Plan (CPP), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB), and other provincial agencies, maintaining full regulatory compliance and audit readiness.
  • Create and update payroll procedure documentation, review and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs), and identify opportunities to automate processes to minimize manual work and errors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proficient with ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian Dayforce payroll platforms.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian payroll regulations including CRA compliance, PCI standards, WSIB reporting, and CPP/EI deductions.
  • Experience with T4 and T4A filing processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Workday Payroll and QuickBooks Payroll.
  • Background with HRIS integration related to payroll systems.

Benefits and Work Culture

  • 100% remote work with flexible hours, allowing work from anywhere within Canada with autonomy and trust.
  • Competitive salary structure complemented by performance bonuses, rewarding excellence and accuracy.
  • Opportunities for career advancement into roles such as Payroll Lead, Payroll Systems Analyst, or Finance Operations positions.
