Payment Posting Manager

Overview

H2 Health invites applications for a full-time, remote Payment Posting Manager role in the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This executive-level position requires leadership responsibilities focused on ensuring precision in payment posting, cash reconciliation, and streamlining workflows within a nationwide therapy organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily payment posting operations ensuring accuracy, productivity, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise posting of insurance and patient payments, contractual adjustments, refunds, denials, and write-offs.
• Conduct reconciliation of cash receipts daily, weekly, and monthly aligning deposits with bank statements.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies such as unapplied cash, posting inconsistencies, and reconciliation challenges.
• Design and implement automation processes to enhance payment posting efficiency and reduce manual workflow.
• Enhance Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), EFT, and lockbox payment procedures.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Billing, Accounts Receivable, Finance, and IT to address revenue cycle issues and improve performance.
• Monitor KPIs related to accuracy, turnaround time, reconciliation, and cash application.
• Establish departmental policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Develop, mentor, and train team members fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Participate in systems implementations, upgrades, testing, and revenue cycle technology optimizations.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA, payer policies, and organizational compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; extensive experience in healthcare RCM accepted.
• At least 8 years direct experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management focused on payment posting and cash reconciliation.
• Prior leadership experience in managing payment posting or revenue cycle teams.
• Experience with Raintree EMR strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of healthcare payment posting processes including ERA, EFTs, lockbox transactions, payer reimbursement, and contractual adjustments.
• Experience interfacing with healthcare clearinghouses and payer portals.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Proven ability to lead process improvement, workflow redesign, and operational enhancements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving aptitude with great detail orientation.

• Annual salary in the range of $50,000 to $70,000.
