Pastefill Operator

Role Overview

Join Gold Fields as a Pastefill Operator supporting underground mining infrastructure by installing, operating, and maintaining pastefill reticulation systems that ensure ground stability and facilitate mining activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain underground paste reticulation, compressed air, ventilation, and water/dewatering systems.
• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and prompt equipment repairs as needed.
• Provide support during team handovers, offer technical guidance, and uphold rigorous safety and housekeeping standards.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience in underground mining, with a background in service crew and pastefill operations considered a strong advantage.
• Strong mechanical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve system faults effectively.
• Proactive approach with dedication to safety protocols and continuous process improvements.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team in demanding underground environments.
• Hold a valid manual C Class Driver’s Licence, WA Dangerous Goods Security Card, and certification for Working at Heights.

Employment Conditions and Roster

• FIFO position based from Perth operating on an 8/6 day and 7/7 night rotating roster at Granny Smith mine.
• Part-time onsite employment.
