Role Purpose

The Packaging Operator is responsible for defining, clarifying, enhancing, and adhering to packaging procedures to meet quality standards and company policies. The role emphasizes delivering the highest quality product and service to customers while promoting safety, organization, productivity, and a healthy employee environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices before and during production processes.
  • Prioritize workplace safety in all activities and promptly report unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Familiarize oneself with product specifications, including markings on bags and closures.
  • Conduct equipment inspections prior to production to confirm proper functionality and absence of contaminants.
  • Inspect packages before boxing for defects such as torn bags, incorrect counts, improper sealing, missing markings, or appearance issues and report deviations to the Line Lead.
  • Package products into boxes ensuring product integrity according to Quality Assurance standards.
  • Confirm that boxes contain correct quantities, sealed properly, and stacked neatly on pallets.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Report unresolved issues promptly to upper management.

Qualifications and Attributes

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Experience in food manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated eagerness to learn and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic literacy skills including reading and writing.
  • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to meticulously follow established procedures.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential.
