Over-the-Counter Associate

Overview

The Over-the-Counter Associate plays a key role in assisting customers with their needs, ensuring the store's OTC section is well-maintained and accurately organized. This position supports the Pharmacy and OTC Department Managers by performing delegated tasks and upholding Walmart’s core values of exemplary customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Respect and protect patient confidentiality in compliance with privacy legislation.
• Work under the Pharmacy Manager's guidance to enhance department sales and profitability.
• Ensure proper rotation of stock and monitor products for expiration.
• Keep the OTC department neatly zoned and organized.
• Adhere strictly to procedures for ordering, price adjustments, clearances, and labeling activities.
• Maintain a clean, clutter-free environment by removing unnecessary items and debris from the work area.
• Avoid pricing errors by following the Scanning Credibility Program.
• Calibrate equipment involved in prescription filling to guarantee accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement is 16 years or older.
• Ability to follow privacy regulations and company procedures.

Compensation

The starting hourly pay rate for this role is $17.75.
