Role Location

This role is based at 7 Gul Circle, Singapore.

Position Overview

The Manufacturing Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating equipment used in the production of GeneChip® probe arrays, ensuring consistent quality and efficient output while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities comply with ISO 13485:2003 and 21 CFR Part 820 standards, reporting any deviations by Manufacturing Associates to Manufacturing Engineers immediately.
  • Conduct routine and repetitive production tasks with clear parameters, operate machinery as needed, and uphold cleanliness in the cleanroom environment.
  • Manage chemicals safely—handle, store, and dispose of according to SOPs, safety protocols, and regulations; promptly report chemical incidents and use appropriate PPE.
  • Establish effective working habits; notify Technical Specialists and Manufacturing Engineers of any equipment malfunctions, excessive downtime, or product defects without delay.
  • Adhere strictly to safety guidelines, maintain an organized workspace, and report unsafe conditions or actions to the Team Leader immediately.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Team Leaders on any inappropriate conduct or poor work practices within the manufacturing line.

Work Conditions and Requirements

  • Stand for entire shift and handle materials up to 40 lbs without assistance.
  • Comply with cleanroom protocols: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, or facial hair allowed; utilize PPE like gowns, gloves, safety glasses, lab coats, and ear plugs.
  • Work with potentially hazardous or toxic substances safely.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum secondary education completed.
  • NTC qualification in engineering-related disciplines.
  • Between 1 to 3 years of practical experience in wafer fabrication production or photolithography, or candidates willing to work in cleanroom settings on 12-hour rotating shifts without prior relevant experience.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and comprehend safety instructions, operational and maintenance manuals, and procedural documents.
  • Competence in performing basic mathematical calculations.
  • Clear, legible writing with attention to detail.
  • Meticulous machine operation skills.
  • Availability for 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • No color vision deficiencies.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities.
