Operations Supervisor - Tauranga

Role Overview

Red Badge Group is seeking an engaged Operations Supervisor to nurture and expand our Tauranga operations in both guarding and event security sectors. This role suits a hands-on leader who thrives on fostering strong client connections and remains actively involved in daily service execution. The position plays a pivotal role in growing and managing the Tauranga team, upholding operational excellence, and facilitating Red Badge's expansion in the Bay of Plenty.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support frontline team members to ensure high performance.
• Develop and manage staff rosters, anticipating both scheduled and unscheduled work demands.
• Ensure service delivery meets customer KPIs, standards, and contractual obligations.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with Tauranga clients, acting as their primary operational contact.
• Perform site evaluations, participate in customer meetings, and assist with tendering and contract start-up processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance and expand Red Badge services.
• Oversee health and safety reporting, conduct risk assessments, manage incident follow-ups, and prepare operational reports.
• Meet financial targets and complete monthly budget reporting.
• Occasionally perform frontline duties, including guarding, event support, and hands-on leadership during peak periods.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in leading, coaching, and developing frontline operational teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build strong customer relationships.
• Competence in workforce planning, rostering, and managing daily operations.
• Commercially savvy with understanding of wage, travel, and operational cost management.
• Ability to work independently and build local operations through effective leadership.
• Meticulous attention to detail in systems, reporting, compliance, and follow-up actions.
• A practical leadership approach combining strategic insight with hands-on involvement.
• Preferably experience in security, guarding, patrols, events, venues, or related customer sectors.
• Possession or eligibility to obtain a current Certificate of Approval.
• Holds a full, clean New Zealand driver's license.

Working Hours and Additional Information
