About the Role
A leading, rapidly expanding quick service restaurant (QSR) organization is seeking an outstanding Operations Manager to oversee an extensive portfolio of more than eight high-traffic sites across Edinburgh and broader Scotland. This pivotal senior field leadership position is within a well-capitalized, investor-supported group that is aggressively growing through multiple new outlets in city centers, retail parks, drive-thrus, and travel hubs throughout the UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Full operational control and accountability for over eight QSR locations in Scotland, primarily centered around Edinburgh.
- Manage financial outcomes including profit and loss statements, labor cost percentages, sales growth, and EBITDA contributions.
- Lead and inspire high-performing General Managers and on-site teams.
- Oversee and support the opening of 2 to 4 new sites each year and regional rollout initiatives.
- Maintain close collaboration with central operations, human resources, training, and commercial departments.
- Spend the majority of working hours actively present within restaurant sites.
- Drive weekly and monthly sales, labor, and profit metrics consistently across all locations.
- Focus on key performance indicators such as average transaction value (ATV), delivery proportions, customer covers, throughput, and labor productivity.
- Improve EBITDA margins in both established and newly launched venues.
- Quickly identify and address site performance issues decisively.
- Build leadership capacity by coaching and developing General Managers, fostering strong succession planning and internal development pathways.
- Promote a culture of accountability, high performance, and energy among field staff.
- Ensure all sites consistently meet brand standards, safety, health, and food quality compliance, and pass audits and operational checks.
- Enhance guest experiences by maintaining service speed and product quality.
- Support full-cycle delivery of new site openings, ensuring sites meet trading standards from launch.
Candidate Profile
- Experienced in area, regional, or operations management within QSR or fast casual dining sectors.
- Proven track record managing 8 or more high-volume hospitality sites.
- Familiarity with branded and busy hospitality environments.
- Demonstrated ability to grow sales, optimize labor efficiency, and increase profitability.
- Hands-on experience with new site openings and growing organizations.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a focus on General Manager development.
- Resilient and commercially savvy field operator.
