Job description
About the Project
NTU International is preparing a proposal to support the project titled “Communication outreach and engagement on EU policies in North Africa, the Middle East and the Gulf.” As part of this, NTU International is creating a roster of qualified Non-Key Experts (both Senior and Junior) who can be engaged on a short-term, as-needed basis throughout the 36-month project duration.
The core goal of this role is to offer strategic, technical, and logistical communication assistance to DG MENA. This includes aiding in planning, developing, and executing daily communication activities aimed at enhancing the visibility, reach, and influence of the EU's policies, initiatives, and partnerships across the Middle East, North Africa, and the Gulf region.
Key Responsibilities
- Track print, broadcast, digital, and social media coverage concerning EU policies, initiatives, and collaborations.
- Produce systematic media monitoring reports, analytical summaries, and briefs.
- Examine media tendencies, prevailing narratives, and stakeholder views in the targeted regions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and reach of communication campaigns and media efforts.
- Spot new issues, risks, and opportunities that might impact communication approaches.
- Provide communication teams with insights supported by media data and evidence.
- Utilize media monitoring and analytics software to gather, interpret, and present media data effectively.
- Assist in preparing strategic reports and communication plans.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Academic degree or equivalent in media studies or communication fields.
- Proficient English language skills.
- Experience with media monitoring platforms and tools.
Professional Experience
- Minimum of 5 years working in media analysis or monitoring roles.
- At least 3 years specifically creating detailed media analysis reports.
