We are seeking expressions of interest from Mechanical Engineers passionate about water infrastructure to join our New Zealand Pacific Water team. Collaborating across a robust global network, you’ll have the chance to contribute to meaningful water outcomes that respect environmental and community needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed investigations into complex water infrastructure challenges, applying analytical skills to develop solid client-focused solutions.
• Design comprehensive mechanical water systems integrating hydraulics knowledge for water, wastewater, stormwater treatment plants, and pump stations within multidisciplinary projects.
• Apply expertise in New Zealand Codes and Standards ensuring all projects meet compliance and quality benchmarks, and stay updated on emerging industry developments.
• Communicate effectively through verbal and written means to present ideas, collaborate with varied teams, and engage clients.
• Lead or contribute to mechanical system modelling using software such as Inventor and AutoCAD, ensuring precise and innovative design outputs.
• Use lateral and pragmatic thinking to develop creative and practical solutions navigating project challenges.
• Identify technical risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project sustainability and success.
• Work collaboratively within a team environment encouraging idea-sharing and impactful contributions.
• Build strong client relationships that align project solutions with client goals and expectations.

Work Environment

This full-time position follows a hybrid working model requiring in-office presence approximately three days per week, fostering collaboration and community within the workplace. Positions are open across multiple New Zealand locations, including Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hamilton, Hawkes Bay, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Tauranga, and Wellington.
