Role Overview
The Marketing and Communications Associate plays a key role on a diverse team tasked with maximizing marketing efforts to communicate effectively with both current and potential investors in the Domini Funds. The Associate partners closely with marketing, business development, and other departments to create compelling marketing materials that highlight Domini’s values and offerings to investors, media, and the public. The role demands flexibility and eagerness to tackle varied responsibilities to support the firm’s mission and branding excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit diverse marketing content such as website copy, articles, social media posts, newsletters, reports, brochures, mailers, and investor communications.
- Assist in managing web presence and social media, including content development, distribution, tracking growth, and expanding engagement.
- Support public relations efforts by coordinating with external PR teams, securing media opportunities, issuing press materials, and nurturing media relationships.
- Plan and execute both virtual and live events by formulating agendas, coordinating logistics including venue and speakers, invitations, registrations, and event day support such as travel and catering.
- Identify awards opportunities for Domini and its people, prepare nominations, and manage related communications and promotions.
- Support creation and execution of advertising strategies across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure all marketing materials meet regulatory standards and approvals.
- Oversee filings required by FINRA, maintaining records and tracking responses.
- Manage requests for investment kits from prospects and assist in monitoring new account activity.
- Track and report on all marketing and communications performance internally.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, client needs, products, and competitors to inform marketing strategy.
- Contribute innovative ideas to enhance marketing and communications approaches.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related area is required.
- Fundamental understanding of investments and financial markets is essential.
- Good judgment, sensitivity to regulatory and diverse stakeholder considerations, strong interpersonal and initiative skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, particularly in interacting with senior executives.
- Robust project management abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with social media management and event coordination is advantageous.
- Public speaking and media interaction experience are pluses.
- Capacity to work autonomously and collaboratively within teams.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to fulfill responsibilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office for content creation.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools is beneficial.
- Possession or attainment (within 6 months) of FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63 licenses preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000 annually, dependent on experience and qualifications, with additional performance-based bonuses.
