Manufacturing Manager

Job Overview and Responsibilities

This role focuses on overseeing all manufacturing operations within a plastic packaging environment, particularly relating to Extrusion Blow Molding (EBM). You will manage daily production schedules, coordinate personnel, and drive operational efficiency by optimizing cycle times, material use, and minimizing waste. Maintenance is a crucial part of the role, requiring execution of preventive measures, managing downtimes and spare parts inventory, and ensuring compliance with global standards.

Ensuring Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) compliance, quality control through GMP audits, and risk assessments are also vital. You'll conduct regular 5S and Gemba walk assessments to reinforce safety and operational policies.

Tracking department performance through KPIs, energy consumption monitoring, and producing detailed monthly reports will aid in maintaining transparency and continuous improvement. Team leadership responsibilities include identifying staff training needs, fostering effective communication across departments, and leading operational meetings. You will also assist in budgeting and enhancing overall plant profitability.

Qualifications and Competencies

• Experience working in plastic packaging manufacturing, with strong preference for those skilled in Extrusion Blow Molding processes.
• Proven management capabilities in production teams and shift operations.
• Hands-on knowledge of new machine installations, mold transfer processes, commissioning, and launch of production lines is desirable.
• Experience in injection molding, especially related to caps and closures, is an advantage.

• Technical proficiency in EBM equipment, tooling, and manufacturing KPIs such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), scrap reduction, and cycle time optimization.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills supported by experience in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence.
• Effective organizational, planning, and team development skills with a practical leadership approach.
• Understanding of quality management systems, food safety regulations, and HSE standards.

Communication Skills

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary to lead a diverse workforce effectively.
• Additional language skills in Hindi and/or Urdu are considered strong advantages.
• Arabic language knowledge will be positively regarded.
