Logistics Technician - Doha Qatar

Role Overview

We are seeking a Logistics Technician to provide warehouse and operational assistance for the AFCENT IDS systems and program situated in Doha, Qatar. This full-time position requires up to 75% travel outside the continental US and involves supporting system fielding, inventory management, shipping, training, integration, and ongoing maintenance at overseas client locations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage inventory of TASS/IDS systems across various environments to support client testing and evaluations.
• Provide continuous operational support and system monitoring to meet AFCENT operational needs.
• Coordinate Return Material Authorizations (RMA) with both domestic and international sites.
• Perform basic programming, including installation and firmware/software upgrades, to ensure electronic security systems readiness before deployment.
• Collaborate with deployed teams overseas to create and deliver training on system care, usage, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain accurate equipment inventories and compile monthly reports on system and logistics statuses.
• Evaluate equipment and inventory to facilitate maintenance and repairs, configuring unique system solutions to maximize operational availability.
• Serve as the primary logistics technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) interfacing directly with Government customers.
• Utilize the Logistics Management Inventory System (LMIS) for equipment tracking and produce customized logistics reports as requested.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Routine manual lifting of items up to 75 pounds including boxes and equipment.
• Perform tasks in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and lifts up to 100 feet.
• Regular handling of tools and office equipment requiring dexterity and reaching abilities.
• Work environment includes Middle Eastern extreme weather conditions with exposure to dust and dirt, necessitating use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with government Logistics Management Systems is advantageous.
• Previous overseas (OCONUS) work experience is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary considerations depend on factors such as location, government contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications. Compensation ranges from $49,900 to $100,000.
