Role Overview

The Logistics Specialist (Purchaser) is a pivotal member of the Purchasing & Supply Chain team, reporting directly to the VP of Purchasing & Supply Chain. This role manages company-wide procurement and logistics processes, including negotiating contracts, sourcing vendors, and overseeing supply chain and inventory management for multiple restaurant brands.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of supply chain, distribution, and inventory across multi-unit restaurants.
• Prepare and share volume forecasts, updating distributors and vendors on product demands.
• Track purchase orders, inventory, and product availability to ensure high order fill rates and avoid shortages.
• Coordinate menu launches and limited-time offers, handling demand forecasts, product setups, inventory, and distribution.
• Maintain ordering guides, product catalogs, and contract cost details.
• Conduct pricing analyses to identify cost savings and optimize freight expenses.
• Support new restaurant openings, facilitating deliveries, supplier accounts, and opening orders.
• Serve as liaison among restaurant operations, distributors, and vendors to communicate changes, shortages, and pricing updates proactively.
• Provide day-to-day logistics support and promptly respond to operational demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in logistics or supply chain management within the foodservice industry at a Specialist or Coordinator level.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Based in Vancouver, BC, and able to work onsite at the Head Office at least three days per week within a hybrid work model.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 annually, reflecting experience, qualifications, and market standards.
