Role Overview: Logistics Manager

The Logistics Manager oversees the integration of the supply chain by managing production planning, warehousing processes, and shipping and receiving functions.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manage customer demand by handling forecast ingestion and order orchestration through systems like EDI, AlplaOrder, and Jedox; oversee service recovery and customer reporting cadence.
  • Implement and maintain SLEA agreements, monitoring performance, and managing changes in existing and new customer business.
  • Lead integrated planning and governance of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), including MPS/MRP and finite capacity balancing; manage scheduling stability and execute scenario planning to address constraints.
  • Oversee warehouse and inventory controls such as WMS setup, scanning compliance, cycle counts, dock to stock processes, FIFO audits, waste capture, and optimize warehouse layout standards.
  • Direct transportation and trade operations including TMS execution (LTL, Hot Shot), managing export/import workflows, carrier performance, claims resolution, and cost optimization.
  • Supervise closed-loop returnable packaging processes, ensuring proper tracking of return ratios and implementing loss or recovery actions.
  • Maintain data integrity and reporting by managing logistics scorecard, Power BI/AlplaMart logistics dashboards, master data KPIs, and month-end reports, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting to Finance.
  • Administer logistics systems and tools such as LST, Bill of Lading integrator, DocLink, and printing processes to sustain seamless logistics operations.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards through Form.com/QDMS workflows, HSE and eAcademy training completion, safety audits, and adherence to GMP and 5S protocols.
  • Lead, train, and develop the logistics team by implementing training plans, skills assessments, succession planning, and performance management to enhance capabilities and engagement.
