Role Overview

As a Lifeguard at our Leisure Centre, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all patrons by overseeing aquatic environments, administering first aid or responding to emergencies, and maintaining a positive atmosphere. Your role will also include monitoring patron behaviour, delivering information about our programs and services, and keeping facilities orderly and clean.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all pools and aquatic spaces, providing immediate emergency response and first aid when needed.
  • Observe and address patron conduct according to centre protocols.
  • Consistently offer excellent customer service to all visitors.
  • Share details about events, programs, and offerings at the Centre as required.
  • Assist with upkeep and cleanliness, including pools, change areas, and grounds.
  • Perform specified administrative functions as necessary.

Required Qualifications and Checks

  • Valid Provide First Aid Certificate and current resuscitation qualification.
  • WA Working with Children Check.
  • Pool Lifeguard certification from Royal Life Saving WA.
  • Eligible to work in Australia (must provide right to work documentation and National Police Clearance prior to interview).

Salary and Benefits

  • Annual salary dependent on experience: between $80,000 and $99,999 (inclusive of superannuation/allowances).
  • Six weeks of annual leave each year.
  • 12% employer superannuation, with potential to match up to an additional 5% if you contribute an equivalent amount.
