Licensed Aircraft Engineer - Line Maintenance (B2)

Overview

We are searching for Licensed Aircraft Engineers (B2) specializing in Line Maintenance within the Technical Engineering department, based in Doha, Qatar. This role supports flight operations through meticulous aircraft maintenance to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with aviation standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and execute assigned maintenance activities efficiently using appropriate tooling and equipment according to the procedures of Qatar Airways and its customers.
• Assess and suggest enhancements to work procedures and standards to boost process effectiveness and quality.
• Oversee the final release of maintenance tasks, guaranteeing all activities comply with company and customer quality and safety benchmarks including dispatch reliability and defect management.
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures to maintain the quality and standards of QR customer products during maintenance.
• Offer dependable technical support to both internal teams and external customers.
• Troubleshoot technical issues within authorized scope to maintain aircraft and component serviceability and meet scheduling requirements.
• Lead and supervise mechanics and technical assistants, ensuring their tasks are completed on time, to specification, and adhering to all applicable guidelines.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and on-the-job training to technicians and mechanics.
• Set team priorities and objectives aligned with wider business goals, periodically reviewing and updating plans as necessary.
• Enforce strict compliance with technical, safety, and customer procedural standards as outlined in relevant manuals and publications.
• Allocate tasks effectively to optimize resource use and meet scheduled maintenance checks.
• Maintain high workmanship and quality standards, ensuring the correct use of tools and equipment during supervision.

About You

• Educational qualifications include High School, Vocational, Diploma or equivalent with at least 5 years related experience, or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years experience.
• Possess a Diploma or Degree (B.Eng., BSc) in Aircraft Maintenance or Aircraft Engineering or an equivalent vocational qualification.
• Hold a valid ICAO/QCAA full QR main fleet license with required approvals.
• Experience in selecting appropriate tools and equipment for tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills involving mathematical reasoning.
• Capability to manage operations of technical equipment and systems effectively.
• Demonstrate leadership skills including delegation, clear direction setting, managing workflow, mentoring and coaching, and fostering team collaboration.
