About the Role
Koch Company Capabilities (KCC) is seeking a meticulous and resourceful Leave Management Consultant to join their team in Kingston, Ontario. This role involves supporting leave administration across Canada in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, requiring a self-directed individual who thrives on problem-solving and innovation.
Team Overview
The Canada Benefits Team is responsible for developing strategy, ensuring compliance, and managing operational delivery of health, welfare, and retirement plans for Koch’s Canadian operations. Partnering closely with HR and other internal stakeholders, the team focuses on providing accurate and timely benefits support to employees while fostering a collaborative, customer-centric culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish effective relationships with customers and employees promptly.
- Act as the subject matter expert on all leave-related issues and provide guidance accordingly.
- Ensure adherence to leave of absence policies, disability plan documentation, and related provincial and federal regulations, including Employment Insurance and privacy standards.
- Assist customers and employees in resolving questions or challenges related to return-to-work documentation.
- Critically evaluate and suggest improvements to the leave of absence process and its administration.
Essential Qualifications
- Experience in supporting leave management and disability administration within Canada, with solid knowledge of Employment Insurance, provincial/federal leave laws, and human rights legislation.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements to individual employee cases.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with employees during sensitive situations.
- Capable of handling multiple cases under competing deadlines autonomously.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Compensation and Culture
The annual salary for this position ranges between $105,000 and $125,000, with eligibility for variable pay bonuses or other rewards. Compensation is based on market data and adjusted for candidate skills, experience, and location.
