About the Position

Join Amrize as a Labour Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in North America's next developments. This position is part of the Portable Wash Plant team, responsible for daily upkeep and servicing of conveyors, crushers, screens, wash plants, and other mobile equipment. The role supports effective maintenance practices aligned with company policies while prioritizing safety compliance with local laws.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Champion a safety-first culture by collaborating with employees, subcontractors, and vendors to eliminate safety incidents.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures ensuring full adherence to Amrize and regulatory standards.
  • Identify, report, and manage environmental spill events in coordination with site management, aiming to reduce environmental impact.
  • Operate machinery in compliance with manufacturer instructions and prevailing industry standards.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance including daily, weekly, monthly, and annual equipment inspections.
  • Execute mechanical adjustments and repairs to maintain equipment efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the worksite through general housekeeping tasks.
  • Consistently communicate and uphold health, safety, and environmental guidelines fostering a safety-conscious workplace.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum education: High school diploma.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Between 2 and 5 years’ experience in maintenance or labor roles within aggregate production; experience in heavy equipment operation is an advantage.
  • Technical certifications preferred include First Aid, WHMIS, Surface Miner, Confined Space, and Working at Heights training.
  • Strong mechanical skills combined with the ability to perform physically demanding labor tasks.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as the plant relocates, requiring reliable transportation.

Additional Prerequisites

  • Compliance with all safety procedures and consistent use of company-approved personal protective equipment, including respirators where applicable. Beards and facial hair that may interfere with respirator seal integrity will not be permitted.

Job Logistics

This role involves shift work with day, afternoon, and night shifts including occasional weekends. Candidates must have reliable transportation due to lack of transit service and be prepared for travel as the plant relocates.
