Job description

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate Kubernetes Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves developing and managing a robust Kubernetes platform deployed on extensive bare-metal infrastructure leveraging over 85,000 CPU cores. You will play a crucial role in automating and refining platform operations, build, and deployment workflows using modern CI/CD methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, operate, and maintain a large-scale Kubernetes platform on bare-metal hardware.
  • Automate and optimize build and deployment pipelines with contemporary continuous integration and deployment tools.
  • Support cloud-native platform services catering to more than 500 applications and serving upwards of 42 million users.
  • Create Kubernetes Operators and enhance the platform with advanced technologies such as service mesh, storage solutions, and GPU integration.
  • Collaborate with a team of seasoned platform and infrastructure engineers and actively contribute to open-source projects.

Candidate Profile

  • Holds a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Demonstrates practical experience in platform, infrastructure, or cloud environments, especially with Kubernetes deployed on-premises.
  • Experienced with Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Proficient with Linux operating systems and comfortable using scripting/programming languages such as Bash, Python, and/or Go.
  • Follows modern Git workflows and practices.
  • Has a keen interest in platform engineering, automation, observability, rigorous testing, and managing high-scale distributed systems.
  • Communicates fluently in English, thrives in team-oriented environments, and is eager to continue developing technical skills.
