We serve a wide array of clients, including those in institutional, educational, municipal, commercial, and community sectors across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories. Our downtown Edmonton office promotes a collaborative culture by bringing together diverse professionals—architects, technologists, interior designers, LEED consultants, graphic designers, marketing specialists, and administrative staff—under the guidance of three Principals dedicated to excellence in design, technical quality, and project success.
Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Architectural Technologist to join our Edmonton studio team. You will engage in all stages of project delivery, contributing to meaningful educational, institutional, and community-related projects within a supportive and award-winning team atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project teams from conceptual design through to construction documentation phases.
- Create architectural drawings, technical details, and documentation using Revit and AutoCAD software.
- Coordinate architectural work with consultants in structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines.
- Integrate design changes and develop effective technical solutions.
- Participate in meetings with consultants, clients, and contractors as part of the project team.
- Assist in contract administration duties including site reviews, shop drawing evaluations, and responding to requests for information (RFIs).
- Collaborate throughout all stages of project delivery to ensure smooth processes.
- Maintain high standards for technical accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma in Architectural Technology or equivalent qualification in Architecture or related fields.
- Preferably 1 to 5 years of professional architectural experience; recent graduates possessing strong technical skills are welcome.
- Proficient in Revit (BIM) and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
- Experience with 3D visualization software such as SketchUp, Enscape, or Lumion is a plus.
- LEED accreditation or experience is considered beneficial.
- Strong organizational, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Attentive to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Displays a positive attitude, initiative, creativity, and enthusiasm for architecture and continuous learning.
