About The Role
Become an integral part of our team ensuring the seamless, secure, and dependable functioning of the National Lottery's gaming platforms, retail networks, and business systems. Your duties will include safeguarding system integrity, overseeing performance metrics, and addressing issues proactively to meet departmental service level agreements consistently.
Operating within a dynamic and fast-moving environment, you will support the ongoing success of lottery operations by detecting potential risks, responding promptly to incidents, and executing corrective measures to minimize disruptions and uphold excellent service standards.
This position requires working a 24/7 shift schedule with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and public holidays. The role is based fully onsite at our city centre office.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain service levels for both external customers and internal business users to ensure at least 99.6% availability annually across all regulated systems.
- Oversee the Irish National Lottery Computer Operations functioning securely and reliably around the clock, every day of the year.
- Manage standards and availability of all IT services.
- Coordinate with 24x7 Data Centres, Networks, and Service Management to ensure strong service delivery and performance.
- Monitor the gaming infrastructure's performance continuously.
- Administer all gaming systems and channels, providing operational input for lottery draw processes.
- Keep operations documentation current and ensure compliance with established protocols.
- Monitor the lottery infrastructure components including Intralot application suite, retailer and interactive channels, networks, and back-office databases and hardware.
- Manage retailer network estate including updates, new installations, and proprietor changes.
- Log, investigate, and resolve or escalate problems and irregularities.
- Follow ITIL-based incident and change management procedures.
- Manage user access activities such as starters, leavers, and movers.
- Collaborate with PLI personnel for daily draw processing.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- At least 1-2 years of incident management experience aligned with ITIL principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with application or network management tools.
- Experience using automated scheduling software.
- Working knowledge of IT security systems and compliance procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience managing users via Active Directory.
- Strong IT background with excellent analytical and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
- Outstanding organizational and communication skills.
- Effective problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of lottery systems is advantageous.
