Interior Project Designer

Overview

Kotak Design is seeking a qualified Interior Project Designer based in New York, United States. This role requires a professional with a Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution, eligible for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in creating detailed specifications and construction documents, as well as strong proficiency with design and office software.

Responsibilities

• Create architectural presentation materials such as renderings, boards, and booklets.
• Develop detailed construction documents specifying project requirements.
• Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality results for clients.
• Engage actively on construction sites across various project types to ensure design integrity.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited school allowing for Intern status with the Ontario Association of Architects.
• Demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong working knowledge of 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience working on active construction sites managing diverse project types.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self-motivation and ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Skills and Certifications

• Ability to prepare architectural presentation documents (renderings, boards, booklets, etc.).
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Knowledge of Rhino, Grasshopper, and parametric design techniques.
• LEED BD+C Accreditation is highly desired.
