About the Role
This dynamic and fast-paced opportunity is ideal for a personable professional experienced in designing interiors for educational or civic facilities, with a particular emphasis on K-12 educational projects. You will collaborate closely with project designers, production architects, and engineers to lead the design of educational spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all stages of projects from initial concept through to completion, assisting in the design and detailed documentation of interiors.
- Develop design concepts and advance them through various design phases.
- Manage interior finish materials selection, specifications, and create finish material boards.
- Apply space planning expertise, knowledge of relevant codes, and understanding of mechanical systems.
- Produce construction documents, administer construction processes, and review submittals.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of professional interior design experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture; CIDA accreditation is preferred.
- Thorough understanding of Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment (FF&E) processes.
- Strong communication abilities, capable of effectively presenting design concepts to clients.
- Proficient with software including Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Bluebeam Revu, and Office 365.
Preferred Attributes
- NCIDQ certification in Interior Design.
- Experience working on educational projects highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks diplomatically under tight deadlines.

Expected salary range for this role is $65,000 to $89,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and role requirements.
