About Elk House Interiors

Elk House Interiors is a reputable and expanding interior design firm located in Greystones, County Wicklow. The studio specializes in luxurious residential interiors, custom renovations, and show house projects mainly throughout Dublin and Wicklow. We are seeking a passionate and skilled Interior Designer to join our dynamic and creative team.

Role Overview

The role offers the chance to work on multiple upscale residential projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate is detail-focused, organized, design-driven, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a studio setting.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

  • Apply your interior design expertise to develop beautifully curated living spaces.
  • Produce and manage FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) schedules and specifications accurately.
  • Use AutoCAD proficiently for technical plans and presentations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in space planning, layouts, materials, finishes, and technical detailing.
  • Effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Communicate and present design concepts clearly both internally and with clients.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors as needed.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail in all tasks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of three years in an interior design position, preferably focused on high-end residential projects.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential.
  • Experience managing FF&E schedules and specifications.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Desirable skills include familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software.
  • Previous experience in site coordination and contractor liaison would be an asset.
  • Understanding of procurement, supplier relations, building regulations, and industry standards is advantageous.
  • Full clean driving license and access to a personal vehicle are required.
