Role Overview
We are seeking Installation Technicians to join our team supporting semiconductor manufacturing activities across various major client sites. This position requires travel throughout Europe without restrictions upon completion of training and certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, assemble, and commission sophisticated semiconductor manufacturing tools adhering strictly to client specifications and safety protocols.
- Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, and process utility hookups essential for equipment setup and activation.
- Perform tool alignment, calibration, startup sequences, and functional tests to confirm operational readiness and performance metrics.
- Maintain compliance with semiconductor fabrication cleanroom standards, contamination control, and Environmental, Health & Safety regulations.
- Ensure proper installation of subsystems including process gas, chemical delivery, vacuum, exhaust, cooling water, and electrical systems linked to the equipment.
- Conduct equipment inspections and quality assessments to verify installation excellence in line with customer standards.
- Accurately document installation processes, technical observations, modifications, and commissioning outcomes following company guidelines.
- Provide support for equipment upgrades, retrofits, relocations, and technology transitions within high-volume production settings.
- Train customer staff on operation, routine maintenance, and safety procedures post-installation.
- Maintain detailed records of materials, tools, parts, and project milestones using organizational reporting tools.
- Strictly abide by lockout/tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, hazardous material handling, and cleanroom safety mandates.
- Operate efficiently in a fast-paced semiconductor fabrication environment and meet rigorous production and project timelines.
Requirements
- Valid driving license and readiness to travel domestically and internationally to customer locations as project needs arise.
- Authorization to work in the European Union.
- At least 12 months of hands-on technical, mechanical, or electrical experience.
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken at a professional level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, instruction manuals, and technical documentation ensuring precise system integration.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
- Customer-oriented with excellent time management and organizational competencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Completed Leaving Cert or professional training in a relevant technical field such as mechatronics or electrical/electronic disciplines.
- University degree in Engineering or a related scientific discipline is advantageous.
- Experience with electronics, pneumatics, or vacuum system maintenance and repair.
- Previous exposure to semiconductor capital equipment operations and an understanding of industry service standards.
- Willingness to consider roles in other sectors such as aviation, manufacturing, or hands-on mechanical roles.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
