About the Role
We are seeking a skilled IT Manager to join Billing Finance Ltd at our Northampton location. This role involves leading the IT Operations team to enhance our technology environment, focusing on software, hardware, infrastructure, and cloud systems to ensure smooth and secure business operations. The ideal candidate is a technical expert passionate about resolving complex issues and transforming business challenges into efficient technological solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct technical support across all levels (1st, 2nd, and 3rd line) for software, network, hardware, and telephony systems.
- Manage incident and problem resolution processes internally and externally to maintain high availability of essential systems.
- Strictly enforce GDPR and information security policies throughout the company.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the IT team to develop a high-performing department.
- Identify deficiencies in current technology and advocate for new solutions and ongoing enhancements to the technology lifecycle.
- Introduce and implement technologies that align with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Ensure IT estate resilience, availability, and security complying with ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Cyber and Information Security Manager to assess risks, apply mitigations, and preserve compliance.
- Create, revise, and enforce company-wide IT policies and operational procedures.
- Coordinate with the Transformation team and third-party providers to meet service-level agreements for projects and issue resolutions.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with critical vendors for optimum service delivery and system uptime.
Candidate Profile
This position requires an analytical thinker with prior experience in a similar managerial IT role. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for engaging stakeholders across all levels and improving existing processes effectively.
The role follows a hybrid model, requiring onsite presence 3-4 days per week plus participating in a rotating Saturday schedule (9am - 4pm, one Saturday in three).
