Human Resources Manager

Overview

The Human Resources Manager at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha, Qatar, plays a vital role supporting the HR team to execute daily HR operations, including recruitment, compensation, and employee development. This position ensures HR services meet employee expectations and support business goals, while maintaining compliance with all relevant laws and company policies.

Core Duties

• Assist in recruiting and hiring HR team members with suitable skills and manage contact with external recruitment sources.
• Participate in job fairs and document recruitment outreach as per HR standard procedures.
• Network with local organizations such as hotel associations to identify candidates for current and future roles.
• Oversee candidate selection, providing expertise to managers on selection processes and ensuring diverse candidate pools via vendor partnerships.
• Administer employee benefits including management of unemployment claims and represent the company in related hearings.
• Support new hire orientations and training programs, ensuring all employees receive necessary job training and cross-training to facilitate smooth operations.
• Maintain effective employee communication channels, manage discipline documentation, address employee issues promptly, and collaborate with relevant departments for investigation and resolution.
• Ensure employee files are complete, accurate, confidential, and compliant with privacy regulations.
• Manage safety and compliance programs including drug testing, safety communications, and workers’ compensation claims.
• Participate as the HR representative on the property Safety Committee to promote workplace safety.
• Ensure proper procedures are followed during candidate selection and status notification processes.

Candidate Profile

• Associates degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in an HR managerial role.
• Experience with Marriott or luxury hospitality brands is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of Qatari Labour Law and related HR processes is required.
