Role Overview and Responsibilities
We invite applications for an HR Intern to join our remote team. This position is suited for individuals seeking hands-on experience in recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, and managing remote workforce coordination. Key duties include:
- Publishing job advertisements across various recruitment platforms and social networks.
- Reviewing resumes and creating shortlists matching job specifications.
- Organizing and scheduling virtual interviews using tools such as Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
- Communicating professionally with candidates by email, phone, or messaging apps.
- Supporting remote onboarding processes, including document collection and scheduling orientation sessions.
- Maintaining recruitment databases, employee attendance records, and essential HR documentation.
- Assisting in preparing HR paperwork like offer letters, internship certificates, and joining documents.
- Facilitating remote employee engagement initiatives such as virtual events, surveys, recognition, and team meetings.
- Keeping leave records updated and compiling basic HR reports.
- Conducting research on recruitment strategies, HR policies, and remote work best practices.
- Ensuring confidentiality of candidate and employee information at all times.
- Providing general administrative support to the HR department as required.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Enrolled in or recently graduated with a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Management, or related disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and punctuality skills.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a remote setting.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets, documents, and email.
- Comfortable operating virtual communication platforms like Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Slack.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of data confidentiality.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for recruitment and human resource management.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior internships, volunteer work, recruitment experience, or leadership roles at academic institutions.
- Familiarity with recruitment websites such as LinkedIn, Indeed, and others.
- Basic knowledge of HR protocols and employee lifecycle processes.
- Experience using HR management software, applicant tracking systems, design tools like Canva, or project management utilities is advantageous.
