Role Overview
The Human Resources Associate plays a crucial role in assisting the HR team by implementing local initiatives and supporting regional and corporate HR programs. This role is key in cultivating an engaging and inclusive workplace that attracts, develops, and retains talented employees. Collaborating closely with HR Managers and HR Business Partners, the Associate ensures smooth HR process execution, promotes a positive organizational culture, and helps meet business goals. This position offers the chance to gain extensive HR experience within a fast-paced and evolving environment, covering areas such as onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and recruitment support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage essential HR processes including orientation for new hires, onboarding, conducting exit interviews, managing leaves, OSHA reporting, and facilitating return-to-work programs.
- Advise associates and supervisors on HR policies and best practices to maintain a compliant and supportive workplace.
- Assist hiring managers and cooperate with Talent Acquisition teams to support recruitment and align staffing with organizational requirements.
- Maintain and assist with HR systems like eTime and oversee payroll activities to ensure precision and regulatory compliance.
- Promote an inclusive and diverse work culture by supporting initiatives that enhance equity and employee participation.
- Administer programs aimed at improving employee satisfaction, retention, and morale across the company.
- Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvements focused on enhancing HR services and organizational efficiency.
Qualifications
- 2 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources or a related area with solid knowledge of HR principles and practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field required for external candidates; internal candidates with relevant experience may also be considered.
- Professional HR certification (PHR or SPHR) from the Human Resource Certification Institute is preferred.
- Familiarity with Workday or similar HRIS platforms is advantageous.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving and team collaboration abilities.
