Role Overview
This role offers a distinctive chance to establish and strengthen the HR function within our London office. As a strategic advisor, you will collaborate closely with managers, ensuring that people strategies effectively support our business goals. You will be a trusted consultant guiding leaders to build strong teams, utilize data-driven insights for people decisions, and nurture a workplace culture aligned with Alice's mission.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide HR support to teams in the UK and the US.
- Collaborate with managers and leaders to synchronize people strategies with organizational objectives and priorities.
- Leverage people analytics and workforce data to detect trends, guide decision-making, and manage organizational risks and opportunities.
- Lead talent management efforts including workforce planning, succession strategies, retention, and leadership development.
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to facilitate hiring plans, support critical talent demands, conduct HR interviews, and aid the hiring process specific to the London office.
- Coach managers on performance management, employee relations, enhancing leadership skills, and team growth.
- Promote employee engagement, enhance culture, and improve organizational effectiveness through initiatives like survey analysis and action plan development.
- Provide advice on compensation, promotions, policy clarifications, compliance, and other HR matters to maintain consistent and effective practices.
- Serve as a cultural liaison connecting UK operations, US remote teams, and headquarters in Israel to ensure both global alignment and local responsiveness.
- Manage complex HR issues spanning multiple jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to local labor laws and ethical corporate standards.
- Establish and cultivate the foundational culture of the London office, integrating strategic HR guidance with practical implementation needed for scaling a new location.
- Partner with the employee experience team to foster positive experiences including organizing events in the UK.
- Support various office operational needs.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of five years experience as an HR Business Partner within a global organization.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience conducting interviews and managing hiring processes.
- Background in a matrixed technology organization.
- A proven track record of identifying, leading change initiatives, and cultivating change capabilities in others.
- Ability to integrate strategic planning with practical execution, delivering impactful results in dynamic settings.
- Strong history of coaching and partnering with senior leaders and frontline managers to boost leadership quality and organizational effectiveness.
- Analytical and data-driven approach to align HR strategies with business priorities based on insights.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills combined with high emotional intelligence to influence across organizational levels, balancing empathy with accountability.
- Familiarity with US employment practices and managing remote teams across diverse time zones is advantageous.
- Self-motivated, adaptable individual capable of collaborating with remote teams.
