Role Overview
This role is responsible for overseeing and managing the entire lifecycle of Airtel's extended and contractual workforce throughout India. This workforce, consisting of approximately 8,000 to 12,000 associates, plays a vital role by delivering important services such as network installation and retail sales. The position requires strategic collaboration with business leaders to maintain Airtel's position as the key employer within this flexible and constantly evolving workforce ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate strategically with business heads to anticipate and fulfill workforce needs across various regions.
- Serve as an independent partner to business leaders, enhancing workforce productivity through optimal resource management.
- Manage partnerships with staffing agencies to ensure open positions are filled promptly and onboarding processes align with the organization's functional demands.
- Oversee associate lifecycle processes including onboarding, payroll, performance management, grievance resolution, attrition monitoring, and exits in partnership with agency collaborators.
- Utilize design thinking methodologies to co-develop scalable and innovative workforce management solutions with stakeholders, preempting challenges.
- Effectively handle grievances to promote associate engagement and satisfaction.
- Track attrition patterns and implement strategies to reduce turnover within the extended workforce.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in business partnership, execution, and problem-solving, along with the ability to learn quickly. They should be self-driven, proactive, and capable of working strategically with business leaders to optimize workforce productivity, manage complex stakeholder relations, and create effective solutions suited for Airtel's extended workforce model.
Educational & Experience Requirements
- MBA in Human Resources obtained through full-time study is required.
- Experience with managing partner ecosystems is advantageous due to the critical nature of this responsibility within the role.
