Head of Operations

About the Role

Al Ahly Tamkeen for Microfinance is looking for a seasoned and strategic Head of Operations to direct and manage the company’s operational activities. This senior leadership position focuses on crafting operational strategies, enhancing business processes, boosting efficiency, managing multiple teams, and ensuring superior operational performance organization-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement operational strategies that support the company’s vision, goals, and expansion plans.
• Lead daily business operations to maximize efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
• Design, deploy, and regularly refine operational workflows, procedures, and performance benchmarks.
• Track vital operational metrics and KPIs, delivering insightful reports and recommendations to executive leaders.
• Champion initiatives aimed at operational excellence, process automation, optimization, and cost reduction.
• Work collaboratively with department heads to synchronize operational efforts with business objectives and customer needs.
• Oversee planning for resources, staffing, budgeting, and operational forecasts.
• Recognize operational risks and apply appropriate risk mitigation techniques to guarantee continuous business function.
• Guide organizational change management, transformation endeavors, and ongoing improvement projects.
• Ensure adherence to internal policies, legal regulations, quality protocols, and operational control standards.
• Mentor and develop managerial staff and operational teams, fostering a culture of responsibility and high achievement.
• Contribute to strategic planning, business growth initiatives, and exploration of new opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, operational reviews, and updates for senior management and stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive experience in operations, business management, supply chain, logistics, or comparable leadership positions.
• Deep knowledge of operational strategies, process enhancements, and performance management systems.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage broad operational responsibilities.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem resolution, and decision-making capabilities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, workforce management, and performance assessment.
• Familiarity with business software systems, ERP solutions, data analytics, and reporting tools.
• Capacity to succeed in a fast-evolving, dynamic, growth-focused environment.
• Robust commercial insight and strategic business understanding.
• Educational background preferably includes a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related disciplines. Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or leadership certifications are a plus.
