Job description
About KUN Investment Holding
KUN Investment Holding (KIH), established in 2013 and headquartered in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a private investment holding company with diverse interests including healthcare, sports, wellness, hospitality, real estate, logistics, and more. The company maintains a streamlined corporate structure where each function takes real responsibility and ownership. The Government Relations function plays a critical role in ensuring full compliance, proper documentation, and proactive management of deadlines.
Role Overview
The Government Relations Manager will lead KIH's Government Relations function, overseeing the company's compliance and relationship management with government bodies. This position requires comprehensive ownership of commercial registrations, licenses, workforce documentation, government platform interactions, and maintaining strong ties with ministries and authorities to sustain smooth business operations. The role emphasizes systematic process management, record keeping, early issue detection, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the portfolio of commercial registrations, municipal and operating licenses, and Chamber of Commerce memberships including processing renewals, amendments, and attestations.
- Maintain an up-to-date compliance calendar of all governmental obligations and expiry dates with proactive escalation well before deadlines.
- Ensure company records with government authorities are always audit-ready.
- Oversee transactions on government platforms such as Qiwa, Mudad, GOSI, Absher, Muqeem, and associated portals.
- Coordinate the complete employee government-services lifecycle including work permits, iqama issuance and renewal, visas, transfers, and exit/re-entry in collaboration with HR.
- Monitor Saudization requirements and Nitaqat status, coordinating regularly with HR and raising potential risks to management in advance.
- Establish and sustain professional relationships with relevant ministries, municipalities, and government bodies.
- Serve as the company’s representative in dealings with government entities and ensure completion of related transactions.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes impacting the company and advise management accordingly.
- Lead and develop the Government Relations team, setting clear standards for responsiveness, accuracy, and documentation.
- Create and enforce structured GR procedures, service standards, and maintain records to ensure the function operates systematically without reliance on individual memory.
- Manage GR service providers and government-related expenses to adhere to budgetary constraints.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Must be a Saudi national to represent the company before government authorities.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience managing government relations within Saudi Arabia, including leadership of a Government Relations team.
- Proficient use and supervision of government platforms such as Qiwa, Mudad, GOSI, Absher, and Muqeem is mandatory.
- Proven expertise in managing licensing, registrations, and government documentation processes.
- Fluent in native Arabic with professional working proficiency in English.
Personal Attributes
The successful candidate will be highly precise, reliable, and persistent in following up on tasks, understanding that any missed deadlines could halt business activities. They will demonstrate discretion in handling sensitive company and employee data, maintain clear and thorough documentation, escalate issues early, and interact with government counterparts with patience and respect.
