Job Purpose
Oversee and support the implementation of Emirates Global Aluminium's localized corporate security strategies, policies, and programs at assigned plant sites, ensuring compliance with global best practices and relevant international and local laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement departmental policies, systems, and controls to ensure compliance with procedural and legal requirements while delivering consistent, cost-effective security services.
- Manage daily operations within the Security department to align with established protocols and procedures.
- Supervise thorough investigations and timely reporting of security incidents, collaborating with relevant agencies when necessary, and propose improvements based on findings.
- Design and deliver diverse security training sessions to enhance awareness and minimize incident occurrence and severity throughout the organization.
- Oversee maintenance and testing schedules for all security protection systems to confirm operational readiness.
- Conduct regular workplace security evaluations to spot non-compliance with regulations and standards, advising on corrective measures.
- Stay informed on local regulations and international security standards.
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and environmental management policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead and mentor Security department staff through feedback and structured support to ensure efficient work aligned with company guidelines and performance targets.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Authority and Decision Making
Work guided by established policies and standards with oversight of output and direction of team activities based on predefined objectives.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience; alternatively, a minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience.
- Preferably accredited or member of a recognized professional security association.
- At least 4-6 years of relevant experience in environmental, health, safety, fire, and security (EHSFS) within a manufacturing environment, including minimum 2 years of progressive managerial roles.
- Preferably bilingual in Arabic and English.
- Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) qualification.
- Knowledge of ISPS Code and physical information security principles.
- Familiarity with electronic security systems such as access control, CCTV, burglar alarms, intrusion detection, and fire systems.
- Experience managing a department, ideally within a multinational team setting.
- Proficiency with SAP software and general computer literacy.
