About the Role
Mitre 10, New Zealand's foremost gardening retailer, is looking for a passionate individual to join our Garden Centre team to assist customers with their gardening needs and supplies. Whether your gardening enthusiasm stems from personal experience or horticultural training, you'll find satisfaction helping customers choose appropriate plants and garden products.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Maintain a strong customer focus by fully understanding and satisfying customer requirements.
- Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items.
- Exhibit strong communication and organizational skills.
- Possess knowledge of green goods, plant care, garden hardware, and related products preferred.
- Have prior experience within a retail environment.
- Demonstrate mental agility with the ability to quickly adapt and be flexible.
- Show eagerness to learn new skills and information.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Working Hours
This full-time position requires working 39.5 hours weekly from Sunday to Thursday.
