Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and driven Front End Developer I to join our IT department in Jacksonville, FL. This entry-level role presents a great chance for those enthusiastic about front-end web development to engage in innovative projects. Responsibilities include building and sustaining user-facing elements, verifying UI/UX design feasibility, and optimizing applications for speed and scalability. Core Responsibilities

• Convert UI/UX designs into functional and robust front-end code ensuring superior user experience.
• Develop new features and maintain existing web applications.
• Ensure responsiveness and consistent behavior across multiple browsers and devices.
• Work closely with back-end developers to integrate APIs and data services effectively.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Use build tools like NodeJS, NPM, and webpack to enhance development processes.
• Identify and troubleshoot front-end issues promptly.
• Conduct automated testing to guarantee code quality.
• Document technical details and development processes thoroughly.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to suggest application performance and engagement improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, programming, or related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
• Equivalent experience demonstrated by participation in at least three web application projects with clear roles and contributions considered.
• Basic understanding of software development lifecycle, particularly Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React and Redux.
• Experience or knowledge with CSS preprocessors (SASS, LESS), responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, version control (Git), and RESTful API integration is advantageous.
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under supervision.
• Capability to obtain necessary security clearances as required.
